 the olpc-log script uses "cp" to copy various logs into subdirs of a
 staging area in order to facilitate tarring them up.  it should either tar
 those directories via symlinks, or use "cp -a" in order to preserve
 modification time information on the logs.  (as it is, all dates are set
 to the time at which olpc-log itself runs.)
