 OK, I have run into an issue with the icon cache stuff, that looks like it
 may be the same thing. I have now attached a script that exposes the
 issue, just run it on the XO with acceleration enabled. Disabling
 accleration will fix the issue.

 (I guess cairo will need to do a software fallback then.)
