Comment:

 Looks like firefox is listening in on NetworkManager's dbus signals to
 make the offline decision, which I think makes this a Browse bug.

 So, as it stands, if someone hits the power button to sleep and unsleep,
 their browser is broken, perhaps until they reboot.

 Here are some possible courses of action, in order of preference:
  * remove "offline mode" completely from our browser, or
  * remove the code that listens for NM on dbus and sets offline mode
 because of it, or
  * make the "try again" button on the error page turn offline mode off, or
  * hook up the "work offline" checkbox somewhere so that it can at least
 be disabled

 Perhaps there are some other options too?
