 What's the current status of this?  See bugs #7072, #6146, and #4591.  We
 had a visitor here at the country meetings who was disappointed that
 Terminal didn't allow him to ssh into his mail reader (emacs on a remote
 machine).

 I don't feel we need to remove the bindings completely (although I
 wouldn't object if we did) -- being able to *unbind* them in Terminal
 would be sufficient, since the problematic Ctrl-O and Ctrl-S shortcuts
 don't actually do anything useful in Terminal anyway.
