> Test of build 704 showed that we now have a qwerty instead of awerty
keyboard, but there are still many incorrect key mappings (ref:

>
> * Top character row: looks like we manufactured the silkscreen
incorrectly and put the underscore as the non-shift character and the
minus for the shift. I recommend that we leave this keymap incorrect
because people will figure it out and the usual for all keyboards (even
for French Canadian by wikipedia) is for minus to be the non-shifted
character.
> * altgr for top character row: only two characters in this row have an
altgr, the first key and the "2" key, which is incorrectly an at sign.
Every key should have an altgr character.
Looks like someone swapped the alt-gr mapping for 2 and 3 - fixing that.
However, for the rest of the keys, alt-gr works correctly for me.
> * Second character row: none of the altgr work on this row. Also, it
takes two keystrokes to get the ^, to the right of the P. No other
characters (shift or altgr) show up. No characters ever display for the
key just to the left of enter (shift, no shift, or altgr).
Can confirm that the Euro sign does not come. Isolated the problem, and
fixing it. However, I do get the alt-gr characters for O and P. For the
key to the right of p, the definition is
{{{
key <AD11> { [dead_circumflex, dead_circumflex, bracketleft ] };
}}}
I'm not very sure how dead_circumflex is supposed to be used. It is a dead
key, so press that key, followed by, say e to get a ê. I think that is the
intended behaviour.
Same for the key to left of Enter. However I get a ']' by pressing alt-gr
and that key.
> * Third character row: The single quote character has to be pushed
twice to get it to display.
Dead key. Press that key followed by e.
> * Fourth character row: No character displays when you hit the key just
to the left of the shift or the key to the right of the page up. The mu
doesn't work with altgr on the M key; the underscore and hyphen don't work
(also altgr keys)
Dead key. Press that key followed by e. Mu works for me. Hyphen does not
come, and the other thing is not an underscore - it is a Macron
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macron).
