 Hmm... Here's a clue...  If you tear off the repeat or test tile from the
 gold-box by *dragging* it out of the gold-box, mouse-still-down, the
 scriptor opens up to accommodate the torn-off tile and a single copy is
 dropped -- as expected.

 Whereas if you you click a second time *within* the gold-box, the selected
 tile clings to the hand, the box goes away, and as you move the new tile
 now attached to the mouse, with the mouse now *up*:

  (a)  The scriptor does *not* open and offer the green "drop-zone"
  (b)  But when you drop the tile it *does* get deposited -- *two copies*
 -- within the scriptor.


 So it's only during unusual mouse-*up* dragging of a tile out of the gold-
 box that the bug occurs.
