Comment:

 Indeed. We are working on a fix, but be aware that given the quite severe
 limitations on the quantity of data that can be written in $SAR and the
 compressed formatting means this is not a trivial fix.  Depending on when
 the fix is forthcoming, this may have ot be release-noted as broken..
 sadly.
