 I'm building a salut rpm with more debug info for this problem - see
 #6782.

 After discussion with Sjoerd, it's likely that the cause is a network
 issue as we have seen before - e.g. the multicast packets the node sends
 out aren't received by others - and that Presence Service is handling it
 correctly but the activity (or sugar.presence) is failing.

 tcpdumps will hopefully show what is happening.
