 It's a 'make distcheck' of that SVN revision of that branch, which is
 pretty standard packaging procedure...  you never use straight SVN
 checkouts because you never release straight SVN checkouts for most
 projects; you release the tarball.  Were you to check out that SVN
 revision and 'make distcheck' yourself, you should get an identical result
 (with the exception that you may have slightly different autoconf macros
 and therefore the configure and aclocal.m4 may be different).
