Comment:

 Confirmed fixed in update.1-702. I tested by reflashing 702, booting,
 reflashing joyride-1794 (with q2d14a), removing power, rebooting (firmware
 update was skipped and boot continued), then rebooting with power applied.

 Also tested the same path but with olpc-update --usb instead of reflash
 into joyride-1794.
