#6702: what does /etc/ohm/inhibit-suspend do ?

While demoing the XO, I accidentally closed the lid. The XO suspended
(dropped power on the USB sockets). When ordinary 'Sleep Mode'
situations occur at home (where I'm plugged into the AC), I don't want my
USB power dropped -- therefore I've done 'touch /etc/ohm/inhibit-suspend'
on my system. By preventing ordinary suspending I've prevented dropping
 USB power.

Looking at http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Requirements, it says "Closing the
lid should go into 'Sleep mode'". Yet me closing the lid caused a
suspend, despite me having done 'touch /etc/ohm/suspend-inhibit'.

Is it the intent of /etc/ohm/inhibit-suspend to prevent ordinary
suspension, but not "deep" suspension such as that resulting from closing
the lid ? [Seen on 700 and on Joyride.]
