 It strikes me as very important that connection managers can be added
 without requiring hacking into the telepathy code base; this implies good
 modularity and documentation, which, given the number of existing
 connection managers would seem to be just good hygiene at this date....

 Can we please use the Cerebro exercise to ensure that these two goals
 (modularity and documentation) are actually achieved in telepathy?  If
 not, I'll fear for Telepathy's long term viability....
