Everybody loves continuous status; it's the new big thing.
On AIM, almost everybody is now "away" all the time, so that they can use
their away messages to say witty things about their status. Everyone
knows that someone with a witty away message is not actually away.
On Facebook, everyone can set their status, and many update it constantly.
Even the geeks are in on it, with Twitter.
Currently, if you roll over an activity icon in the mesh view, you get a
popup indicating the name of the activity. If you wait, you get more
options, like joining. If you roll over an XO, you get a popup with the
name, and then a dropdown list with options to invite or add-to-friends.
I suggest that the dropdown list should also show that XO's status
message. Messages could be limited to 160 chars, or equivalent per-
language.
The kids'll love it.
