 Is the Oct 9 sugar commit currently in update.1?

 The book.dat is a library of 180,000 chess games used to compute gnuchess'
 opening book.  It is not necessary, although it does make gnuchess play
 better.  You can also compile smaller opening books which may be more
 appropriate for the XO.

 gnuchess will read a book.dat file from its CWD; you can also modify
 'bookbin' in gnuchess/src/book.h if you want to add additional search
 locations.
