 This is the plan, for sure.  You can read a rough overview of the idea
 (though the details are slightly out of date) on the HIG:

 This is clearly a huge advantage for the collaborative aspect of the
 laptops, and I hope that we have the chance to look into implementation of
 this feature shortly after the basic shell redesign has been integrated.
 I'm not sure that a single ticket will be able to encompass all that needs
 to be done to make that happen, but I'll leave this open for now until we
 have a plan in that regard.

 It might be possible to do the "share with friends" even now, before
 adding the formal support for "groups".
