Comment:

 This was due to a startup problem with the XS build which caused the
 hostname to change.   ejabberd absolutely crashes if the hostname changes.

 When a server is first installed, the hostname is schoolserver. After
 running network_config, the hostname is changed to schoolserver1 (or
 schoolserver2, etc.).   This happens on first boot, but the hostname of
 the running system is not changed.   The domain name should be configured,
 and the XS rebooted at least once before starting up ejabberd.

 If it is truly desired to move an ejabberd database from one
 hostname/domainname to another, it is difficult but possible:
