Comment:

 This is a high priority, but I don't consider it a blocker for getting 8.2
 out the door.

 FYI, my plan for this is to go ahead and merge so that we have something
 in our kernel that Pol can use for testing in the Joyride and 8.2 series
 and then worry about upstream after we get 8.2 out the door. Given the
 number of issues that need to be dealt with for 8.2, I think this is the
 best approach.
