 Yes, this should be fixed and a proper implementation of RomePluginCanvas
 class>>drawingCanvasFor: might do it.  Can you look at it?

 for finish: instead of finish, I think that transformed text (in scroll
 panes) was the problem.  Use #finish only when transformed might be good
 enough.
