Comment:

 Assuming we drop the ordering requirement (and focus only on the title of
 this ticket, and not on the invitation part), this isn't actually that
 hard a problem.  The mesh already shows XOs clustered around activities;
 all we need to do is expose this list with icon and text in the palette.
 That said, embedding this list could be the trickier part - it will
 probably need to support scrolling, and it might be better if it weren't
 shown by default, but instead could be disclosed (with a little "drill
 down" triangle). I'm not sure that we have support for those yet, or if
 palettes will support resizing once opened.
