 This is definitely still a problem, and easily reproducible.

 1. Type a few characters into the search field in Home.
 2. Adjust the brightness or volume.

 The problem is generic.  The focus is stolen from any control that has it,
 and then immediately given back to it.  This does especially strange
 things in Browse, for instance, where the text within the location bar
 changes on focus-out/in.
