#7280: Browse autocompletion makes it impossible to type some URLs

The Browse autocompletion doesn't have a null selection by default (that
is, the first suggestion is selected by default), which means that if if I
attempt to type "foo" (for instance, to reach foo.com) but there is an
entry in the history for foo (even in the page title!), there's ''no way''
presently to get the desired behavior, since it will always choose the
suggestion.
There are two ways to solve this. The first is to make the selection of a
suggestion explicit, (via pressing the down arrow or the tab key, for
instance). The second is to make the suggestion the default, but provide
a way to override it. (Apple does this by completing the URI by actually
entering the full string into the entry, but keeping the cursor at the
correct location and automatically selecting the "remainder" of the URI,
such that pressing delete once will clear it out. Additionally, to make
this work, Apple only offers suggestions when the entered string grows in
length, not when it shrinks).
It seems like the first of these options is much simpler to implement, and
perhaps even the optimal behavior.
