 Sounds suspiciously like #3554. Could you confirm the key (or hash of it)
 is actually in ~/.sugar/default/nm/networks.cfg?

 I still have WPA problems, too, like when connecting to my DLink DWL-730AP
 it did not accept the WPA key entered in the dialog (it kept asking), so I
 copied the networks.cfg entry from another XO and rebooted, which worked
 fine. Did not report separately because for 708 only regressions should be
 reported, and WPA never worked reliably yet.
