 Yes, I apologize that I was too terse. I was saying that mkstemp is fine
 if you don't care what the resulting file name looks like but that we
 should be careful that we write to a NAND-backed dir. The caution about
 NAND-backed dirs comes because, according to my reading of
 downloadmanager.py's [http://dev.laptop.org/git?p=web-
 activity;a=blob;f=downloadmanager.py;h=156da0b175dc1de754b77325e86a0abb5a601528;hb=update-1#l55
 line 55] and [http://dev.laptop.org/git?p=web-
 activity;a=blob;f=downloadmanager.py;h=156da0b175dc1de754b77325e86a0abb5a601528;hb=update-1#l95
 line 95], we're are currently writing to a tmpfs (which is RAM-backed)
 mounted at /tmp.
