 I noted today that when working with multiple Browse windows, alerts tend
 to show up in the latest-launched window.

 After doing a lot of browsing and downloading over the course of a few
 hours, I found that at one point a "Download completed" alert showed up in
 the older of two browse windows.  However, it will not close when I
 depress the "Ok" button (though that button gets highlighted in white to
 indicate it's depressed).

 More interesting, if I click on the "Open" button, that does the right
 thing, taking me to the journal entry for the file in question, but again
 the alert remains in the browse window, and I can follow the "open" button
 as many times as I want.
