 This is with joyride-2000.

 I doubted it would be possible, but the new UI is more difficult
 to use than the old one. I simply can't use it.

 I'd have better luck teaching a kid to press Alt-Ctrl-Fn-1 than teaching
 him how to use sugar. Maybe this is the plan? Harsh, but
 the bare Linux console is very educational. :-)

 From the console I can tell that a number of activities are installed. I
 can not get them to run, because I can't even find them. Perhaps they are
 hidden among the spam in my worthless journal. I tried searching for
 Activity, but that really didn't narrow things down at all.

 Note that I only bothered to look in the journal because I recall seeing
 something about it on a mailing list. The journal is not an even remotely
 logical place to go looking for activities.

 As this is a regression with a known cause, the fix is simple. We need to
 go back to the less-bad interface immediately.
