 Was in an establishment, using its wireless AP.  Closed lid.  Came home,
 opened lid.  I have no wireless -- could not manually establish my wired
 ethernet connection.  Pressed ctl-alt-escape, to restart Sugar (in hope
 that *that* would establish my ethernet connection).  When Sugar came up,
 it told me my Journal was empty.  [Don't know if this problem is different
 from the one discussed in #7426.]  G1G1, Joyride 2229 (manually updated to
 2230 level).

 [This probably is not pertinent, but I have a "permanent" SD card. Some of
 the Journal logs show an 'io error' trying to write .olpc.store onto that
 SD card.]
