 It seems that GTK+ has support for Compose tables - and the table for GTK+
 is at
 http://svn.gnome.org/viewvc/gtk%2B/trunk/gtk/gtkimcontextsimpleseqs.h?revision=20816&view=markup
 We might want to experiment with that as well.
