 I found a couple of reassuring things about the logic we are considering
 to adopt:

 1 Firefox uses the same logic to decide if a page should be opened in a
 new tab or in a new window, by default.
 2 Firefox seem to have moved from the target vs window.open logic, to
 checking size/features.

 Obviously if firefox get it wrong, the problem is much minor (the page
 will just be hidden in a tab), but still I think it mitigates our risk
 quite a bit.
