In XaoS: While browsing around the complex plain I reached a zoom level at
which the complex boundary of the Mandlebrot set dissolved into a
pixelated fringe. XaoS would not render any more detail. As wikipedia
 notes [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandelbrot_set]:

 > When computed and graphed on the complex plane, the Mandelbrot Set is
seen to have an elaborate boundary, which does not simplify at any given
magnification. This qualifies the boundary as a fractal.

By definition we should expect a fractal boundary at any zoom level.
Seems like XaoS is computing values of points in the complex plain using a
limited number space, even at high zoom levels.
