#7566: sugar-shell enters in infinite loop after a failed shutdown
---------------------+------------------------------------------------------
 Reporter: tomeu | Owner: marco
     Type: defect | Status: new
 Priority: high | Milestone: 8.2.0 (was Update.2)
Component: sugar | Version: Git as of bug date
 Keywords: 8.2.0:? | Next_action: diagnose
 Verified: 0 | Blockedby:
 Blocking: |
---------------------+------------------------------------------------------
 1. Log into a console session
  2. Shutdown from the XO palette, this will fail
  3. Launch the Terminal activity
  4. Check in the console that python-shell is using all the cpu it can
  5. Check in ~/.sugar/default/logs that shell.log is growing fast

I'd call this a blocker because, although the failed shutdown needs to be
fixed before release, 5 means that NAND could be quickly filled causing
the XO to not be able to boot. So I think we should verufy the cause of
this and make sure that this code is more robust to this kind of
 situations.
