Comment:

 Hmm...I read mstone's original bug report as:

 The time lag between X starting (blank, white screen with "X" mouse
 cursor) and Sugar starting (Favorites view displayed and usable) is
 "large".  Please can it be made smaller.

 In order to close this bug, nothing to do with activity startup time or X
 startup time needs addressing.  The Sugar "shell" (that tomeu mentions) is
 the component needing consideration.

 Based on tomeu's comments, current "action needed" (diagnose), and lack of
 any baseline timings (how fast is it in current joyride) it seems this
 should have keyword 8.2.0:- unless the priority changes.
