 We know that Firefox runs quite nicely on the XO. It's even available as
 an activity -- see [http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Activities]. Since the
 design process seems to be stuck on this ticket, perhaps we could work
 around the problem by recommending to UY that they test FF.xo and include
 it in their release if it works for them?
