Comment:

 If we really need these options we can only expose it through the command
 line interface of the control panel only. I think that makes sense here
 and I agree with eben - that we a) should not overload the control panel
 and b) don't offer options the kids can easily mess their xo with.

 I think starting the control panel gui and selecting the section and then
 the slider on 50 xo's is not much faster then doing it from the command
 line. And if you have the command line option you can control it over the
 network.

 Otherwise you can always do a specialized build for testing which contains
 the graphical interface if you really want exactly that for your tests.
