Using recent joyride builds (e.g. joyride-2123), there are strange
interactions between X and the virtual terminal (ctrl+alt+mesh).

When switching to the VT, often parts of the sugar interface remain on
screen (often the search textbox in the top toolbar). Typing text into the
console results in the text going to the console and the overlaying search
 box.

Also, even when the search box is not visible on the console, when you
type things into the console and change back to X you often find that
parts of what you typed were also typed into the search box. Tomeu
reported that he changed the root password on the console, returned to X
and found that his root password was shown in the search box!
