Comment:

 No, the difference is that later builds use ntp to sync time.  So the XO's
 clock was set three hours fast, they did the update, then shortly after
 boot ntp reset the time to 'proper' time.  Not a bug with olpc-update, and
 the problem will apparently fix itself once 'real' time catches up.

 The problem might also be that joyride actually handles time zone
 correctly; same effective cause.

 Not a bug in olpc-update.  Fix this in font-config.
