 Unless malloc() is similarly limited, I see no point in limiting tmp
 space. It just breaks things.

 In any case, activities that abuse tmp to the point of crashing will be
 unpopular. There is a power switch, and the journal allows deleting the
 offensive activity.

 This should be an overmount on /tmp actually. (in the private namespace)
 There is no requirement to break tradition. One could use mount with the "
 --bind" option to have it in other places as well.
