 Chat detects URLs using a regular expression that detects
 "http://wiki.laptop.org", as well as "dev.laptop.org". In some cases it
 linkifies a non-url, such as a.b.c which isn't particularly harmful.
 However in the case of email addresses, it can really break:
 morgan.collett at gmail.com is detected as two different URLs,
 (http://)morgan.collett and (http://)gmail.com.
