 Read just saves metadata in the journal entry that belongs to the pdf
 file. Indeed it does not create a ''new'' journal entry for the instance
 of Read, but I would say this is by design. Eben, do you agree? If so, you
 can close this bug.

 Btw, the error appears because read doesn't write a file, it's not really
 a problem.
