Comment:

 If this was fixed and "closed" two months ago, I'd suspect the fix would
 have been in the Write version on the G1G1 machines in December... but it
 isn't.

 "Keep as RTF" merely changes the name of the file; looking at it with an
 ascii editor shows that it is still AbiWord doc format.

 (I'm not a developer and don't know whether "update.1" is still coming or
 was before G1G1. I'm just trying to write some how-to instructions for
 newcomers. If there's an update that Joe User can/should download, let me
 know and I'll add it to the wiki.)
