 Invitations work great when I use them at home.  If I take those exact
 same laptops to 1CC, and do not alter the software in any way, invitations
 no longer work.  Specifically, invitations can be sent, but are never
 received.

 Note that the "share with my neighborhood" activity sharing still works,
 and many shared activities do function correctly except for invitations.

 I do not know if I was using Salut or Gabble at 1CC.  That difference may
 be important here.

 Given that 1CC is not too different from a large school, this should be
 fixed.  Perhaps the protocol being used for invitations is not as reliable
 as it should be.  This may also just be a bug in Gabble, Salut, or the
 Jabber server.
