Comment(by dcbw):

 WEP key indexes were only ever intended as a mechanism to help enterprises
 do dynamic WEP rekeying (which is handled by 802.1x which most consumers
 do not have the ability or time to set up), or to help _manual_ static WEP
 rekeys by the IT department when they change WEP keys on a quarterly or
 whenever basis so that the old WEP key will keep working for a short
 overlap with the new one. If anyone has modified their home wireless
 router to use some key index other than 0 (or as Linksys calls it, #1),
 that person should simply change their router's WEP key index if they need
 the XO to work on that AP right away. There are larger fish to fry.
