 Nope, should not.

 xterm is well-maintained with solid Unicode support. (double-wide,
 combining, etc.) It's not that big. Meanwhile, rxvt is busy growing
 dubious features like transparancy.

 rxvt is a VT102 rather than a VT220. It's also rather bad at being a
 VT102.

 xterm is maintained by the same person who maintains ncurses. Correctness
 is a given.
