 Hmmm - maybe we are running out of pixmap space over time.   It wouldn't
 surprise me if some of the sugar apps were being leaky, or if there was a
 bug when we migrated the pixmaps off the video memory  to build the shadow
 framebuffer.

 I've run rotate in a "do while sleep 1; randr -o <next>; done" loop for
 several days, but I did that only on a twm window, so I'm convinced
 there's not an inherent problem in rotate, but there is a distinct
 possibility that there is some video buffer interaction problems -
 especially when we get really full.
