 Looks like in the new evince, after changing sizing-mode we need to call
 ev_view_update_view_size().

 The attached patches do that.

 I think we wanted to start Read in "fit to width" mode, but this is not
 working yet. Perhaps we should call ev_view_update_view_size() after the
 scrolled window has been allocated?
