 Using build 1489, on both C1 and B4 hardware, a user is unable to register
 with a school server from the Sugar home screen on the first boot (when
 they entered their name and color selections.)

 After a reboot, registering from the Sugar home screen worked OK.

 The schoolserver jabber server was that described in #5834 (but with #5834
 fixed).

 No error messages were reported on the school server from the unsuccesful
 attempts at registering.
