Comment:

 I've always hated the mess that is file extensions, mime types,
 type/creator codes, etc.  That said, it does seem problematic to strip
 these from documents that originate outside of Sugar.  I know we had
 talked about naming objects in the form "My Story (PDF)" when performing
 Keep As... operations, to disambiguate them.  Is it feasible to apply the
 same kind of logic when showing documents on external devices (and on
 objects copied from them)?
