 A ctrl-alt-erase "hot-reboot" de-colorizes the network icon on the home
 page.

 To induce, press ctrl-alt-erase.  The system resets.  The network icon
 (active network connection) looks different, though (no colors).

 This behavior was induced in joyride-1492.
