 Hmm, I hadn't considered that angle.

 My instinct is that backporting and upgrading wholesale are of similar
 risk, given that the patches are small and that the version we're using is
 very close to the version they were applied to.

 I would support a wholesale upgrade of Avahi in Update1, provided that it
 works ok in Joyride.
