 after the machine sleeps (even just shutting off the screen) the journal
 does not show the SD card.

 the card is still mounted (verified on the command line) but it requires a
 reboot (full reboot, not just power off/on) to have the journal see the SD
 card.

 I do not seem to have the same problem with USB storage

 I've verified this problem with build 650, 653, and joyride-1489
