 I have seen the first bug before, and I ''think'' it was related to a
 cairo problem (that was only recently fixed). So my guess is the new
 poppler won't fix it, but it would be very helpful if you could try!

 The crash I haven't seen before. If you can reproduce that please let me
 know, so I can take a closer look (I probably ''will'' need a pdf to test
 with then).
